eat.je is a local website aiming to present, receive and share information about places to eat in Jersey.

Because the island has a wealth of restaurants, cafés, pubs, take-aways and other establishments, and because the internet is such a popular medium, we thought a website covering every place to eat in Jersey would be popular both with locals and visitors. Although some other websites have been set up with similar aims, eat.je is the only website to present a comprehensive database of places to eat in the island, to allow the user to navigate an interactive map, and to allow reviews of every establishment listed.

Visitors to the website can browse through the map to find places to eat in a particular location, search for a particular restaurant, address or any other search term, select from the most popular tags, or browse by parish or establishment type. All of these options are accessible from the sidebar to the left, with the map being located on the home page.

Restaurants, cafés, etc, have been added by the eat.je team and the information about them is updated as required. Users are encouraged to leave reviews of establishments they have eaten at so that other users and visitors to the website can see where is popular and highly rated. As the eat.je community grows, so users will be able to view a good deal of information and opinion about anywhere they are thinking of going out to eat. Users who have registered may also rate establishments with or without reviewing them.

In short, eat.je brings word of mouth onto the web.
